Evaluating Humanitarian Action


Objectives

By the end of the webinar, participants will be able to:

  • Identify the critical stages of evaluations of humanitarian action.

  • Explain the challenges commonly encountered during these evaluations.

  • Discuss the ethical aspects involved in evaluations of humanitarian action.


Intended Audience

This webinar is intended for professionals and individuals interested in humanitarian action evaluations. No prior experience in evaluations is required, but a basic understanding of humanitarian work may be beneficial.


Core Content Areas

  • Overview of the essential phases involved in conducting evaluations within the humanitarian context.

  • Exploration of the common obstacles faced during evaluations and the ethical implications that must be considered.

  • Understanding the responsibilities and competencies required to conduct effective evaluations.

  • Ensuring evaluations are conducted with integrity, including consent, confidentiality, and the handling of sensitive information.

The webinar will be interactive with group exercises and delivered via Zoom
